GDI Solutions unveils its self-developed portable gas detector ‘BELLMINI™’ at the 2024 International Safety and Health Exhibition... “Incorporation of IoT technology”
GDI Solution co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Hyung-man) participated in the '2024 Korea International Safety & Health Show (KISS 2024)' held at KINTEX in Goyang from July 1st (Monday) to 4th (Thursday).
GDI Solution is a gas detector manufacturing company established in February 2022. It announced the development of its own brand of gas detectors, the BELL Series, which provides optimized safety solutions worldwide. In particular, in line with the growing global safety awareness, they apply IoT technology to enable easier use and management of gas safety data in the field.
Regarding this, GDI Solution said, “Unlike the existing method where safety accidents had to be prepared for and judged simply within the work environment, using digital cloud services allows safety accidents to be quickly disseminated and prepared for a wider range, and follow-up measures can also be linked. This means what you can do,” he explained.BELLMINI™, a portable gas detector officially launched this year, was introduced at exhibitions in Europe and China. Through this, it is reported that the company is pursuing contracts with stakeholders around the world and is achieving remarkable growth by concluding several sales contracts. During the first half of this year, the largest selling product was MSR’s PolyGard2 model, with 1,300 units sold to the ESS battery industry, and a total of 4,000 units sold and in operation.
This exhibition mainly showcases the portable gas detector BELLMINI™ developed and released by GDI Solution, the field-installable gas detectors PolyGard2 and AG310 Series, and finally, the flame detector FlameSpec.
BELLMINI™ consists of a total of 18 types of single gas detectors and uses sophisticated signal processing technology to quickly and accurately detect target gases, notifying the user promptly in case of an emergency. The main features include ▲ excellent durability with the highest IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating and proven intrinsically safe explosion-proof design, and ▲ a backlight function and a wide display device compared to other small devices, which clearly convey information even in dark environments. In particular, the company emphasized that the extremely low-power design allows the product to operate for more than two years while turned on.
In addition, based on the latest IoT technology, field data measured is shared on the web and mobile devices to enable managers to recognize it in real time. Additionally, it has a built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) tag, making Bluetooth pairing easy.
PolyGard®2 and the AG310 Series, which are introduced together, protect people and facility assets from gas safety accidents by being fixed to walls, pipes, pillars, and ceilings. They can be controlled throughout the facility using analog output or the MODBUS RTU protocol. PolyGard®2 allows users to select and use customized functions such as various gas sensors and output signals. The AG310 Series is a pressure-resistant, explosion-proof product that can be installed in more extreme environments. Its basic features include a buzzer and an LED alarm, and the explosion-proof remote control allows for easy operation even when installed in locations that are difficult for the users to reach.
FlameSpec detects fire flames quickly and accurately using ultraviolet or infrared optical technology. It can optionally be equipped with an HD video camera to help identify the cause of a fire and is highly durable against false alarms. In particular, in a market where eco-friendly hydrogen energy is attracting global attention, they expect the growth of flame detectors that focus on detecting rapidly exploding hydrogen fires.
GDI Solution has exported to countries including Italy, India, Turkey, Brazil, Australia, Austria, Norway, Chile, Israel, and Ireland. GDI Solution is also considering expansion to all European countries and the Americas, which account for most of the global market. To this end, we plan to continue participating in exhibitions in Europe and the Americas, expand new dealer networks, and launch new products.
